Sunday Groups

Weekly groups during our 'All-age' 11am Service

Sunday groups meet for 30 minutes during the 11am service - term time only.

- Sparks - is for our youngest children, from birth to reception year. Carol, Rosie, Jane, Richenda and Trudie lead this group which meet in the creche at the back of the auditorium.  Parents are welcome to either stay with their children or to leave them.

In Sparks we will share a Bible story together as well as a craft activity, some songs and a time of prayer. This term we are thinking about what an amazing person Jesus was using the stories of many miracles to help us learn about this.

Flames meet in Abbot House Nursery next door to the Christian Centre but meet at the main entrance doors when it’s time for groups and we go over together. Children from 5 to 7 are welcome in this group which is led by Nicky, Amber and Annette.

This group explore the Bible through drama, games, discussions, crafts and fun challenges. Currently we are looking at stories in the Old and New Testament which focus on our senses and thanking God that we can see, talk, hear, touch, taste, think.

Energise, for 7 to 11’s meet in the Harbour Room and is led by Phil, Ann, Phil and Emm.  There are discussions, challenges, games and crafts to help us dip into the Bible in this group.

Energise are currently looking at the Old Testament characters Jacob and Joshua and how God featured in their lives and how He can be in our lives. After Easter we will be looking at the power of the Holy Spirit and how he can equip us in our daily lives.

Hyrdrate is on the 3rd Sunday of each month there are no regular children’s groups, instead we have our own church just for children!  This is for any children up to year 6. We leave the main congregation after the first song and share a longer time together in the Oyster Bay Room for our own style of worship, gathering, bible story, crafts, activities, prayer time and games.

This term we are looking at the sorts of things Jesus did so we’ve looked at miracles using the wedding at Cana, we’ve also heard the story of Blind Bartimaeus to help us think about healing and soon we’ll be thinking of Jesus teaching using the story of Jesus feeds 5000.
(Hydr8 doesn’t run during August and December)
