A Christ-centred generation of young people daring to make God number one
Our desire is for every young person to feel that they belong when they come to St Alphege Seasalter. We hope that they are comfortable to be themselves and find it easy to make friends and have fun.
We try to make plenty of space for our young people to ask ‘big’ questions about life and faith, offering support to all, no matter where they are on their journey with God.
We have a part-time dedicated youth worker, Georgina, who works to support and grow our youth in faith and number.
We long for our young people to be the trailblazers of our faith in Jesus to their own generation. To be a bold community who dare to follow God wherever he is calling them.
- Y -
Every week (except summer holidays) 6-8pm, SCC.
- REVERB Youth Club -
Every Friday | 6-7.30pm | SCC (Term Time)
Our youth service takes place every Sunday evening. We often spend time worshipping God and hearing his word, learning how to live out the Christian faith as a young person in today’s society. Some weeks we have socials, this is time where we can have fun, invite friends and get to know one another better. We love to invite young people to be in the worship band or have a go at giving the talk if they’d like to.
- Sunday morning groups -
We meet every week at Seasalter Christian Centre to mostly play games, eat biscuits and dip into the bible through discussion, drama, craft, film and other media.
These are part of our 11am service and give a chance to look at faith in interactive ways. We have 2 groups that are split by age group.
- Weekend away -
This is for our younger youth and is usually around June time. It allows us to spend time getting to know each other better. Much of the time we have fun, competing in challenges, doing activities such as the low rope assault course and toasting marshmallows on a camp fire. We also have time for the ‘God stuff’ too, looking at what faith is and how we can develop it.
- Soul Survivor -
These 6 days away camping is with our older youth. We get together with thousands of other youth and leaders from across the country and beyond to worship God. With amazing bands and speakers it’s a chance to really focus in on our faith. There’s also time for sports, food (we love the cheesy chips or tasty milkshakes!), chilling out in the various cafes, playing cards in our marquee and going to silent disco or UV party. It is always an incredible week!
