Vacancy - Facilities and Bookings Coordinator
Part-time | 15 hrs/week | Fixed term 1 year renewable for a further 1 year |£16 /hr
St Alphege Seasalter is a busy, community-rooted Church of England church with three buildings in Seasalter, Kent, used for church activities and hired as meeting and conference spaces. Income from bookings helps fund our work, and we're looking for an organised, warm, and proactive Facilities and Bookings Coordinator to help us use buildings efficiently and grow the income to sustain our community and church activities.
You'll manage the full bookings process — from enquiry to payment — maintain our database, coordinate room setup, and work with our cleaner and volunteers to ensure every hire runs smoothly. A key early priority will be developing a marketing and pricing strategy, creating promotional materials, and managing our social media and Google Business presence to attract more hirers locally. You'll also be a welcoming face, representing the church and dealing with enquiries with sensitivity and good judgement.
This is a varied, people-centred role suited to someone who combines strong administration skills with a genuine warmth towards others. You'll need to be comfortable working on your own initiative within an inclusive church environment and happy to be part of a small, collaborative team.
An Enhanced DBS check is required.
