Prayer

Our desire is for prayer to be the heartbeat of St Alphege Seasalter.

Jesus instructs us ‘to pray and not give up’ (Luke 18:1). We long to be a church where people of all ages feel comfortable communicating with God, and have a hunger to seek Him with perseverance.

Our aim is to cultivate a culture of prayer that has thanksgiving at its core. To be a grateful people who are pursuing God for the greater things. We believe that prayer is the key that unlocks the blessings of heaven. We need only to ask.

We are building a community that prays all the time and uses prayer to change the world.

Time to pray

We have regular prayer meetings on a Friday evening: Prayerpoint is 6pm-7pm and Silent Prayer is 7:15pm-8:00pm, both of which happen at Seasalter Christian Centre.

In the past we have done prayer events such as 24 Hours of Prayer and a Half Night of Prayer. For the past few years we have also hosted Inner Space, an afternoon of reflective prayer. More of these events may well happen again in the future so keep your eye out for more information as it happens.

We also have prayer ministry available after each service on a Sunday. This takes place at the front corner of the hall by the cross and is for those who feel they need someone to pray with them.

To keep up to date with prayer needs as they happen then you can join the Facebook prayer needs group, click here and ask to join the group. Be sure to check your notification settings if you wish to have alerts on your smart phone or via email.
