Half Night of Prayer

 Night of prayer mag

We want as many as possible to participate in this important event.  These are the questions we are asking as a church (the same questions that were discussed at the recent DCC/MLT/Staff away day):

  • Where do we see God already at work in our church and community?
  • What are our challenges as a church? What needs strengthening?
  • What are our particular strengths, gifts and resources as a church?
  • What are our big dreams? What makes our heart ache for God to act?
  • What are we hearing God say to us at this time?

You can come to whatever parts of the evening you are able to attend. There will be prayer stations and resources and the first part of the evening will be guided. The side rooms will also be available for prayer in whatever form groups and individuals want to use during the evening, but the outline structure in the main space will be:

5-6 pm  hosted by Jane especially for Children and families
6-7 pm Youth - Georgina/Andrew with prayer stations
7-8 pm sung worship/prayer
8-9 pm Mark Fagg leads a guided Lectio Divina  (a meditative way of praying with scripture)
9.00-11.40 free time to pray, wander and reflect using the prayer stations and resources
11.40 -12 pm Night Prayer to end.

Please come if you can, continue to pray anyway if you can’t, and do let me know what you sense God is saying to you: seasaltervicar@gmail.com or leave a note in the office for me.
